Ronen Steinke, born 1983, studied law and criminology before completing a doctorate in international criminal law. Since 2011, he has written for the Süddeutsche Zeitung. He initially worked on the paper’s foreign desk, primarily concentrating on the Middle East and Africa. Later, in 2016, he became a domestic affairs correspondent, with a focus on legal and security matters.
