The Frankfurt Book Fair and the Warsaw International Book Fair are planning to launch a new German-Polish fellowship programme.

Jacek Orel (Director of the WIBF) and Imke Buhre (FBM) will speak at the announcement.

Programme

For over 30 years, the Frankfurt Book Fair has organised an international fellowship programme for young publishing professionals from around the globe. This benefits not only the participants, but also the industry, providing intensive further training, in-depth market knowledge, new networks, and a deeper cultural understanding.
Fellowships provide a valuable opportunity for the next generation in the industry to further strengthen and develop relations. The new Polish-German fellowship is thought to do exactly this: fostering bonds and exchange between the two important European neighbors and their publishing industries.

Ewa Bolińska, Foreign Rights Manager and Senior Editor at Znak, talks about her experiences as a participant in the Frankfurt Fellowship.
