Programme

As part of “Books at Berlinale”, a matchmaking event (organised in cooperation with the Netherlands Film Fund) will take place on February 15 where selected representatives of publishers and literary agencies meet film producers in individual online meetings.

The rights owners present the material in pitching sessions, followed by a get-together where film producers can talk to the rights owners, publishers and agents. Since 2006, the event has taken place in cooperation between the Berlin International Film Festival and Frankfurter Buchmesse and has established itself as a one of the most important meeting places for publishers, agents and producers. 190 titles from over 30 countries were submitted which further increased the number of applications in comparison to previous years.
