On German literature in Lithuanian and Lithuanian literature in German

How does the selection of books for translation take place in Lithuania and Germany? Which works by Lithuanian authors can be found on the book market in Germany, and which works by German authors in Lithuania? How are these authors discovered and why are they chosen? Are they always the right ones?

This will be discussed by: Cornelius Hell (translator from Lithuanian into German), Aušrinė Žilinskienė (Lithuanian Culture Institute), Roman Pliske (Mitteldeutscher Verlag) and representatives from the Goethe-Institut Vilnius. Discussion moderated by translator Markus Roduner.
