So when she’s gone, who will put the little owls to bed? Katja Alves has worked in various professions, including bookselling and broadcasting. Today she works as a freelance writer of children’s stories and audio plays. She and her family live in Zurich. Andrea Stegmaier lives and works in Stuttgart. Her favourite occupation is illustrating picture books and children’s books. She finds new inspiration wherever she is.

Gareth Ryan is an illustrator from Northern Ireland. He studied fine and applied arts and media design in Belfast. He illustrates children’s books and lives with his family in Hamburg. Christina Steinlein attended the German School of Journalism and studied journalism and biology. She works as an author in Munich.

Tania Goryushina, born in Kiev, Ukraine in 1978, is a Ukrainian artist based in Stockholm. She is a publisher, teacher, and illustrator who develops children's books. In 2009, she won a place at the Academy of Fine Art in Umea, Sweden.
