Anke Kuhl, born in 1970, writes and draws for the Frankfurt-based authors' cooperative “labor”. She has won many awards, including the German Children and Youth Literature Award (2011).

Judith Vrba is an illustrator based in Vienna. Since 2025 she has been the artistic director of the Kinderbuchhaus Schneiderhäusl. She was shortlisted for the Romulus-Candea Prize in 2020.
