Berlin, late 19th century. Seventeen-year-old Florentine Falkenberg, the daughter of a wealthy industrialist, has two great passions: medicine and criminology. But as a woman, she is not allowed to study. Undeterred, she disguises herself in men’s clothing to secretly attend lectures at the hospital.

Her academic pursuits take an unexpected turn when she finds herself not in the dissection room, but at her cousin Charlotte’s house, facing a real corpse. The victim is none other than Charlotte’s newlywed husband, Amandus. The case is particularly scandalous because Florentine’s brother harbours a secret love for Charlotte and was near the scene of the crime at the time of the murder. Florentine seizes the opportunity: she will uncover the true culprit and clear her family’s name of disgraceful rumours!

A fast-paced and charming mystery set in 19th-century Berlin!

Alexandra Fischer-Hunold studied German and English literature and worked in publishing before she began writing her own books. She lives with her husband and their Irish Terrier, Carla, in Münster, Westphalia.

The author is nominated for the 2026 Friedrich Glauser Prize in the children’s crime fiction category

The war is over. The Others have won and are taking power in the completely bombed-out city. Friends Tarek, Tuk, Nata and Ren sit in their basement hideout and wonder how peace will work. They are alive, yet they all bear visible and invisible scars. Gradually, they begin to open up to each other and become a sort of family. Until a dilemma challenges their bond.

Is it possible to overcome hatred for a people who have wiped out your own family? Can you love when you have experienced the worst kind of violence? Can you remain moral in a destructive world? Eva Kranenburg sensitively weaves these questions into a compelling story.

Eva Kranenburg worked with children of refugees from Bosnia and Kosovo at a young age. Later, as a psychotherapist, she worked with refugees from Afghanistan, Syria and Iraq. She is a graduate of the Academy for Children’s Media.

When their pet rabbits go missing, Paul and Lola turn into little detectives – following clues, solving mysteries, and proving that even the smallest search can become a big adventure!

When Paul and Lola’s rabbits suddenly disappear, panic sets in! But the siblings don’t stay sad for long. Hops is far too curious to hide for good, and careful little Flops always leaves clues behind – like those telltale nibble marks in the garden! Armed with their detective gear, Paul and Lola set off on an exciting search full of surprises, teamwork, and laughter.

Because really – how hard can it be to find two mischievous rabbits?

Judith Allert published her first children’s books while she was still studying German language and literature. She now has over 80 titles to her name. The author lives with her husband, dogs, cats, chickens, horses, woolly pigs, and all kinds of vegetables on a small farm in the Upper Franconian countryside. So it’s no surprise that animals often play the leading roles in her stories.

Maud Vogel is a biologist, but her heart beats for imaginative children’s books. She has always loved drawing, but things really took off in 2022 when she began teaching herself digital illustration. A year later, she became a freelance illustrator. She loves immersing herself in stories full of nature, animals, and magic, bringing them to life with pen and brush.

When Kalle goes to the park to play, the other dogs greet him enthusiastically: they bump into him, jump on him, and lick his face. Kalle is happy to see them too, but something doesn’t feel right. Then it hits him: he doesn’t always want to be touched and petted just because he’s small and fluffy. So starting tomorrow, Kalle decides to be prickly like the cactus on his windowsill. The others are puzzled until Kalle finally speaks up and find a solution together. A heartwarming story featuring lovable dog characters about respecting individual boundaries and needs.

Jule Wellerdiek has been drawing since she could hold a pencil. After studying design at FH Münster, she now works as a freelance illustrator, dedicating herself to what she loves most: creating stories and bringing them to life through illustrations, preferably filled with very special characters.

“In her picture books, Jule Wellerdiek deals with fundamental questions of living together. Kalle Doesn’t Want to Cuddle tells of the difficulty and the relief of setting boundaries.” FAZ

This interactive book combines riddles and Artificial Intelligence to introduce both young readers and adults to the fascinating world of AI. Its core aim is to spark curiosity and help children understand how AI works by solving engaging challenges. Short explanatory texts throughout the book provide insights into the various applications and ways of working with AI. It also allows children to discover how they can use AI for their own purposes. For example, they can find out how to use AI as a helpful study tool for exams.

Nicola Berger writes books and develops games for children and adults. She finds the world of artificial intelligence very interesting, as it is developing very quickly and there are continuously new tasks that could be taken on by AI. With moses. Publishing, she published PhänoMINT Physics Craft Book, Ingenious Robots, The Big Computer Science Puzzle Book, among others.

Lucie Göpfert loves drawing funny characters, but she also enjoys illustrating riddles because afterwards, she is able to solve them. She finds AI practical, but also a little scary.

Aesthetics is a quality that fundamentally influences all human activity, perception and thinking. Aesthetic education ex pands perception in all areas of life and helps children to become close observers and listeners. It stimulates creativity and imagination. This set offers children first aesthetic experiences focused on visual perception. When solving the assignments, children look closely at and engage with visual works of art, colour scales and various painting and writing tools. This requires concentration, logical thinking and combining. In this way, the set also promotes thinking skills.

“DEEE – T – T – T, EEEE – H – EEEE, TSNNN – TSNNN, BEEEEP”

These are robot sounds. Every robot sounds different. Sometimes deafeningly loud, sometimes very quiet … but more importantly: Robots have special skills and tasks.

Pixel is a painting robot. His task is to paint. And he’s great at it! But suddenly, he gets pulled into the world of shapes and colours – which is fun! But: Can robots even have fun?

Sadly, there’s all these control modules out there monitoring their every move. A lot of hard work awaits Pixel – and an encounter with a strange creature that gives him a really special job.
