German-Hungarian Art Publications

Since 1992, the Art series of VUdAK books has brought together eleven publications devoted to Hungarian and German-Hungarian artistic exchange. The series includes art books and catalogues that document the work of contemporary artists, preserve important aspects of their artistic development and make their contributions accessible to a wider public.

At this event, painter Ákos Matzon will present the publications and offer insights into the history and significance of the series. Using selected volumes and artworks as points of departure, he will discuss the role of art publishing in documenting artistic positions, fostering dialogue and strengthening cultural connections between Germany and Hungary.
