The German Collective Stand at the Budapest Book Festival 2026 brings together institutions and publishing partners from Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Liechtenstein to showcase the diversity of German-language literature and the strength of its international networks. The opening event marks the beginning of the programme and offers an opportunity to meet the participating partners, discover current titles and celebrate the cultural and professional exchange between the German-speaking and Hungarian book markets.
The stand is presented in cooperation with the Austrian Cultural Forum, the Embassy of Germany, the Embassy of Switzerland, Frankfurter Buchmesse, the Goethe-Institut Budapest and the Liechtenstein Cultural Foundation.
