Director of Uruk Editores, founded in 1983, an independent publishing house dedicated to promoting the creation, production and distribution of bibliodiversity. He has held management positions in the Costa Rican Book Chamber and, between 1997 and 2007, he held the position of executive director. He is currently its president. He directed international book fairs in the country and organized collective representations of Costa Rican publishers at the book fairs in Bogotá, Guadalajara and Central America on several occasions. In Uruk he has published more than 500 titles and several of them have won national and other awards.
