Matthias Jügler (1984) studied Scandinavian Studies in Greifswald and Oslo and Literary Writing in Leipzig. His debut novel Raubfischen (Predatory Fish) was published in 2015 (Blumenbar). He is also the editor of two anthologies on identity, racism, and xenophobia: Wie wir leben wollen. (How We Want to Live – Suhrkamp, 2016) and WIR. GESTERN. HEUTE. HIER. (WE. YESTERDAY. TODAY. HERE. – Piper, 2020). He has just published the novel Die Verlassenen (The Forsaken – Penguin Verlag, 2021), which has attracted great interest in the German media and triggered debates.
