Simon Stranger (1976) has published a number of books for children, young adults, and adults since his debut in 2003 and was nominated for the Nordic Council Prize for Literature in 2014 for De som ikke finnes (Those Who Do Not Exist), published by Cappelen Damm. His books have received outstanding reviews and have been translated into more than twenty languages. Leksikon om lys og mørke (Encyclopedia of Light and Darkness), published by Aschehoug in 2018, is his fifth novel for adults, which won the Norwegian Booksellers Prize in 2018. His current novel, 304 dager (304 Days), has be published by Aschehoug in the autumn of 2021.
