Norsk faglitterær forfatter- og oversetterforening

The Norwegian association Norsk faglitterær forfatter- og oversetterforening (NFFO) was founded in 1978 and is a professional association for non-fiction authors and translators of non-fiction books. In 2020, the NFFO had 5,200 members, of whom approximately 500 were translators working in all areas of non-fiction prose. The NFFO's tasks include promoting good non-fiction as well as strengthening the Norwegian written language, which is increasingly important in a society built on high levels of expertise. The association participates in the public debate on non-fiction and publishes the member magazine NFFO-Bulletin as well as Norway's largest literary magazine, Prosa.
