Olga Grjasnowa born 1984 in Baku, Azerbaijan. Longer stays abroad in Poland, Russia, Israel and Turkey. She was awarded the Klaus-Michael Kühne Prize and the Anna Seghers Prize for her acclaimed debut novel "Der Russe ist einer, der Birken liebt". Most recently, She also published "Gott ist nicht schüchtern" ("City of Jasmine"), "Die juristische Unschärfe der Ehe" and most recently "Der verlorene Sohn". All her novels have been adapted for the stage and translated into several languages. Olga Grjasnowa lives with her family in Berlin.
