Maitha Al Khayat is an Emirati and an international children’s book author and illustrator. With 170 publications, she delights children with her quirky yet cultural stories through interactive storytelling and workshops. She also wrote for TV shows like Hamdoon Emirati series and Sesame Street Iftah Ya Simsim. Some of her books got translated into Italian; like Two Whales and Grandma Moudi Fashionista. Al Khayat received literary awards like The Children’s Forum in Riyadh for My Own Special Way and the Publisher’s Association Award for best picture book Turn Off the Lights.
