Sandra Hetzl (*1980 in Munich) translates literary texts from Arabic [sandrahetzl.com], including those by Rasha Abbas, Haytham El Wardany, Mohammad Al Attar, Kadhem Khanjar, Bushra al-Maktari, Aref Hamza, Aboud Saeed, Assaf Alassaf, and Raif Badawi. She often translates theater texts, and also curates events, she also writes and does research. She holds a master's degree in Visual Culture Studies from the University of the Arts in Berlin, is the founder of the 10/11 literary collective (www.teneleven.orgfor contemporary Arabic literature and the Downtown Spandau Medina mini literary festival (www.downtownspandau.org)
