The Goethe-Institut is the Federal Republic of Germany's cultural institute, active worldwide. With 158 institutes in 98 countries, it promotes knowledge of the German language abroad, fosters international cultural cooperation, and conveys an up-to-date image of Germany. Since its foundation in 1993, the Goethe-Institut Ukraine has become one of the most important promoters of the Ukrainian educational and cultural landscape. It manages major EU projects in culture and education and is closely networked with countless partner organizations throughout Ukraine. Since Russia's full-scale attack on Ukraine, the Goethe-Institut has supported its Ukrainian partners with various measures. The Institute's team has not ceased its activities at any point; despite challenging conditions, the staff continues its work online and from different locations and has expanded and strengthened its offerings and programs.
