Sylvia Mucke, born in 1973, studied history and philosophy in Berlin. After completing her studies, she gave in to her wanderlust and went abroad. Japan was her destination. There she taught German as a foreign language, among other things. After returning, she worked as an editor for the magazine "Eselsohr" for several years before becoming editor-in-chief in 2008.
