Andreas Weber

Andreas Weber, born 1967 in Hamburg, is a marine biologist and philosopher. He works for GEO, Die Zeit, FAZ and National Geographic, among others. Weber teaches ecophilosophy at the Berlin University of the Arts and is Visiting Professor at the University of Gastronomic Sciences of Pollenzo. He is the author of numerous publications translated into various languages, including Enlivenment: Toward a Poetics for the Anthropocene (MIT Press 2019), Matter and Desire: An Erotic Ecology (Chelsea Green 2017), Biopoetics: Toward an Existential Ecology (Springer 2016). Weber lives in Liguria and Berlin.
