What are your main focuses and goals?

I have always enjoyed learning foreign languages and translating. In the beginning I only translated novels and short stories, but for the last three years I have been concentrating on children's stories/books because I work for the DRIN programme (Goethe Institut). At the moment I am working on the children's book "Schnapp den Dieb" by Steffen Gumpert from Ravensberg Verlag. I am also interested in novels with current themes and children's plays.

What do you hope to get out of the Frankfurt International Translators Programme?

1. opinions and experiences, exchange with other translators
2.
network/contacts with publishers and authors
3. copies of newly published books
