What are your main focuses and goals?

I have been working in publishing as a translator from German into Italian for many years. My main field is modern and contemporary German-Jewish literature with a focus on memoirs and contemporary witnesses. A preference for Eastern and Central European prose has led me to Yiddish and prompted me to translate texts by Yiddish-Soviet writers. In general, I am also interested in more recent German-language novels.

What do you hope to get out of the Frankfurt International Translators Programme?

Apart from networking with publishers, cultural institutions and authors from German-speaking countries, I expect to exchange experiences with translators from other countries. The Frankfurt Book Fair will definitely be an enriching experience.
