What are your main focuses and goals?

An important goal for me is to translate contemporary plays. I have translated playwrights like Sasha Marianna Salzmann, Sivan ben Yishai or Anja Hilling. I often work with the Goethe Institute to promote theatre from Germany in Catalonia.
As a novel translator, my main goal is to translate contemporary women writers from Germany. I work with the Catalan publisher MésLlibres and have translated authors such as Judith Schalansky, Sasha Marianna Salzmann or Daniela Krien.

What do you hope to get out of the Frankfurt International Translators Programme?

To discover contemporary women novelists and playwrights.
To visit the most important book fair in Europe and meet German publishers in person.
To have an exchange with translators from all over the world.
