Jan Tesitel, Director, is a graduate of the Directing Department at FAMU. During his studies, he directed the short film People Involved (2010), which was nominated for the Magnesia Award for Best Short Film. His feature debut David (2015) premiered at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival and also competed at festivals in Montreal, Warsaw, or São Paulo. Jan directed the documentary series Dakar Sistaz (2024) about the youngest female competitors in the Dakar Rally, the Koloc sisters. At the beginning of the year, he released his second feature film, the audience-hit fairy tale Princess Goldenhair (2025). He is currently in post-production of a crime thriller titled Monsters, based on the bestselling novel Stvůra by Kristýna Trpková (Kalibr Publishing, 2021). Jan also works as a director for several shows for Czech Television and occasionally directs commercials.
