Chitarium was born from the big dream of Larysa Bobrovnikova, who wanted to create a publishing house that would open to young readers a world bestseller, already recognized as a classic of children's literature, and which has not yet been translated into Ukrainian. The first great achievements of the publishing house were the publication of such iconic books as "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" by Eric Karl, "Where the Curiosities Are" by Maurice Sendak, as well as "The Gruffalo" by Julia Donaldson, which gained recognition all over the world.
Chitarium also actively collaborates with Ukrainian authors and illustrators, supporting the development of modern Ukrainian children's literature. We strive to publish books that not only fascinate, but also help children better understand themselves and the world around them. From its inception to the present day, Chitarium's main goal has been to create quality books that evoke emotions in readers and leave a lasting impression.
From 2025, we are expanding our activities and starting to publish books for adult readers. This will be an important stage in the development of our publishing house, which will continue to pay attention to the quality of content and maintaining high standards of printed products.
