As the world's emergency pharmacy, action medeor has been committed to sustainable and better healthcare for people, especially in poorer regions, for 60 years.
The non-profit organization's headquarters are in Tönisvorst in the Lower Rhine region. From here, health stations in around 100 countries in Africa, Latin America and Asia are provided with medical aid every year. In the event of an emergency or disaster, action medeor is able to send medicines, medical materials and instruments to the disaster area in just a few hours.
In addition, action medeor carries out health projects in the areas of sensitization, right to health, prevention, diagnostics and therapy together with local partners.
As part of its pharmaceutical specialist advice, action medeor trains health personnel, sets up research laboratories and supports the development of local production facilities for medicines.
