DVV International is the Institute for International Cooperation of the German Adult Education Association (DVV). With over 50 years of global experience, we promote lifelong learning and the development of sustainable educational structures in more than 30 countries, focusing on literacy, vocational training, sustainability, migration, and democracy.
In Guatemala, we have worked since 1995, intensifying our cooperation since 2013. Together with six partner organizations, we prioritize the Migration, Education, and Development (MED) nexus, promoting:
• Quality education for youth and adults.
• Territorial literacy and productive community projects.
• Training of trainers and advocacy for public policies.
• Strengthening educational networks in the Mexico-Guatemala border region.
Our work aims to reduce poverty and inequality, foster local development, and contribute to achieving the SDGs through lifelong learning.
