Portrait of Eleonore Devillepoix
Éléonore Devillepoix
Writer and screenwriter

Éléonore Devillepoix is a fantasy writer. A graduate of the Sorbonne and the London School of Economics, she initially pursued a career in international relations, working at the European Parliament, before devoting herself full-time to writing. She made her name with her fantasy saga La Ville sans Vent, published in 2020 and translated into eight languages. Passionate about animated films, in 2024 she embarked on a project as a screenwriter to adapt her novel Brussailes into a feature-length animated film; a fable set in Brussels. The project, currently in development with the production company Take Five, is now titled Vol-au-Vent and has already received support from several institutional partners such as RTBF, Europe Creative and the Wallonia-Brussels Federation. When she isn’t writing, Eléonore devotes her time to travelling and zany team sports (she has notably taken part in two Quidditch World Cups).
