Stefan Peters is Professor of International Relations and Peace Studies at Justus Liebig University Giessen, Academic Director of the German-Colombian Peace Institute (CAPAZ), and Principal Investigator at the TraCe Research Centre (Transformation of Political Violence), the Migration and Human Rights Research Group, and the Graduate Centre for the Study of Culture. PhD in Political Science (University of Kassel) and MA in Political Science (Philipps University of Marburg). He has been a visiting professor at various universities in Argentina, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, Puerto Rico and South Africa.
