As a writer and actor, Ondřej Gabriel was involved with the cult Prague theater troupe Kabaret Caligula. He made his television debut with the spy series The Sleepers for HBO, which was nominated for a Czech Lion Award, a Czech Film Critics’ Award and selected for the Toronto IFF. He is the co-writer of the crime comedy about soccer corruption Making Your Own Luck (selected for the Serial Killer Festival). He co-wrote the film adaptation of Kateřina Tučková’s successful novel Gerta Schnirch (Czech Television, HBO, Arte). Czech Television is currently filming his series about child protection services, and this summer, Oneplay will begin filming another series of his about love, betrayal, and revenge.
