Dimitré Dinev is an Austrian writer of Bulgarian origin and a major voice in contemporary Austrian fiction and drama. Migration, European history, memory and new beginnings are recurring themes in his work. His multi-generational novel Zeit der Mutigen explores the historical ruptures of twentieth-century Europe through individual lives; the book won the Austrian Book Prize in 2025.
