studied biology at university but has never worked in the field. Since 2000, he has worked in IT developing retail platforms. He entered the book market in 2003 with his first, esoteric online bookshop, CzaryMary.pl. In 2006, he founded TaniaKsiazka.pl, one of Poland’s largest and most dynamic online book retailers, which he and his wife Agnieszka Stankiewicz-Kierus still run to this day. In 2009, he founded the publisher Illuminatio, now known as Frauenverlag. His latest e-commerce initiative is Bee.pl, a store selling FMCGs. Since November 2019, he has been owner and chief editor of the magazine Czwarty Wymiar. In February 2021, his company Glosel joined the Polish Chamber of Books. He is father to an eight-year-old son, who like his parents is an avid reader.
