As in previous years, we will be present in the international hall from October 28 to 31 with a German collective stand, showcasing German publishing houses and new book collections. Until Covid19, the fair used to attract around 800 exhibitors from 15 countries and 605,000 visitors. In 2022 round about half of those numbers where gained.
Currently, the Turkish publishing industry is suffering strongly from the difficult economic situation and especially inflation, and as in many other countries the high paper prices.
The main theme of this year's fair is "Long Live the Republic", and as honorary author Nermin Abadan Unat is choosen, an academician, lawyer, sociologist, writer, and distinguished figure who has made notable contributions to the field of communication sciences in Turkey.
The fair will be accessible to students, teachers, children, retirees, and disabled individuals free of charge.
