Berlin Through Children’s Eyes – Stories, History and Investigation

This workshop focuses on three German children’s books, Erich Kästner’s Emil and the Detectives, Andreas Steinhöfel’s Rico, Oskar and the Deep Shadows, and Hanna Schott’s Fritzi Was There. Together, these books explore the history and cultural significance of Berlin.

The workshop will look at major historical events from a child’s perspective and invite participants to engage creatively with the stories and themes of the three novels.

This interactive workshop welcomes children and families of all ages!
