Conversation and reading with performance by Melinda Nadj Abonji

Melinda Nadj Abonji, a Hungarian-Swiss author, musician and spoken-word performer born in Vojvodina, is one of the major voices in contemporary German-language literature. Her work explores migration, multilingualism, identity and the search for belonging.

Her novel Fly Away, Pigeon, published in Hungarian by Magvető, made literary history by receiving both the German Book Prize and the Swiss Book Prize in the same year.

Drawing on personal yet universal stories, her writing explores what it means to live between two, or even several, worlds.

Alinda Veiszer will talk to the author as part of a performative reading.
