The protagonist of Christian Kracht's novel sets off with his mother through Switzerland's exclusive regions in an attempt to give away the family fortune, whose origins are historically tainted. Their journey, told with humour verging on sarcasm, leads through the past of a dysfunctional family.

Published in 2021, Eurotrash won the Swiss Literature Prize, was longlisted for the International Booker Prize, and has also been adapted for film and the stage.
