Online Reading for Children

Book presentation
German

Shortly before the summer holidays, the Goethe-Institut and the Frankfurter Buchmesse will be organising three online reading sessions for kids. Gather the whole family at home and experience classical tales in a new, quirky way! In Rotkäppchen hat keine Lust, Der Wolf und die sieben Geißlein and Vom Wolf, der auszog, das Fürchten zu lehren, the author and illustrator Sebastian Moschenmoser shakes up familiar fairy tales. The comedian and clown Deborah Weber brings the stories to life through her interpretation, and the participating children are invited to actively engage. At the end of the third episode we will provide a printable playbook. You can also enter a draw to win copies of the three books - all you will need to do is to solve the playbook’s quiz and send the answer to bibliotheque-paris@goethe.de by 11 July 2021.

Programme

The videos of the readings will be published on the Goethe-Institut's Facebook page and YouTube channel on the following dates, all Sundays:  13, 20 and 27 June 2021, from 10 am onwards.

Sebastian Meschenmoser’s books are published by the Thienemann-Esslinger Verlag in Germany and by Minedition in France.

This online reading series is being organized by the Goethe-Institute Paris and Frankfurter Buchmesse in collaboration with the Thienemann-Esslinger Verlag, with financial support from the German Federal Foreign Office (Auswärtiges Amt).
