Aesthetics is a quality that fundamentally influences all human activity, perception and thinking. Aesthetic education expands perception in all areas of life and helps children to become close observers and listeners. It stimulates creativity and imagination. 

This set offers children first aesthetic experiences focused on visual perception. When solving the assignments, children look closely at and engage with visual works of art, colour scales and various painting and writing tools. This requires concentration, logical thinking and combining. In this way, the set also promotes thinking skills.

Martina Walther’s illustrations are just like the children and their viewpoints – some alike and some completely different, regardless of where they’re from.

Heike Nieder has been writing poems ever since she discovered a poetry collection by Heinz Erhardt at the age of 12. She publishes children’s poems in anthologies, magazines and school textbooks. Most recently she worked as editor-in-chief at the children’s literature journal Eselsohr. She lives in Munich with her husband and three children.

Martina Walther is a Swiss illustrator born in 1983. She divides her time between Lucerne and a small village in the Emmental valley. She studied fiction illustration at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts.
